Community Allotments

Carr Lane Allotments, Cleethorpes

Our mission was to create a thriving community allotment where people could connect with nature, grow their own food, and foster a sense of togetherness and well-being. We believed in the power of community gardening to enhance lives, promote sustainability, and build strong, resilient neighborhoods.

 

Community Connection and Togetherness

Big Local North Cleethorpes

Big Local North Cleethorpes kindly gave us a grant which enabled us to pay for the Community Allotments for one year as well as purchase a shed and other items for use by our volunteers

Voluntary Action North East Lincolcnhire

VANEL have sourced funding for us via Green Influencers and other Green initiatives to ensure we can continue to offer local residents a place to enjoy growing vegetables, fruit and coming together as a community

Ernest Cook Trust

The Ernest Cook Trust kindly gave us two grants over 2023, to ensure the continued running of our Green Influencers sessions on our community alloment plots.

Sidney Sussex Ward Councillors

Through our ongoing collaboration with our local ward councillors we were also granted some funds to purchase essential equipment for the Community Allotment

Great Grimsby Mayoral Fund

We were honoured to recieve some funding from the Great Grimsby Mayoral Fund that we could use for provisions for our allotment and its volunteers
